Allow For The Possibility
Allow For The Possibility

This is the conclusion of a message I have transcribed and edited from a talk Ishvara gave on September 24, 2006. - TG.
Ishvara:
It is no wonder that the physical body has so many problems, so many diseases, so much break down. The body is being told, "You are not it."
In surrender and awakening, love becomes "You're it." That means you become love. Your cells are love. Your organs and tissues are love. Your intellect becomes love too. Everything about you becomes love. You are not "in" love; you ARE love. And then everyone you run into is love--they just don't know it.
That is a funny thing: When you become love, you can't help yourself: everybody is love. You know they don't know it, and you are sort of nice about it; you don't push it too much because they might become upset, they might misunderstand. But when you become love, you are love, and everything you see becomes love, your whole body is love, your whole existence is love.
And you think you have no power? You have awesome power. The power of knowing that comes from love is a healing, transforming, transcendent awakening. You wake up, and you know that you are full of possibilities. You realize your past experiences are just past experiences.
You have stages in your life. The people in your life at various points form a stage. They play a part, they play roles, as you do too, and then you move on to the next stage. The intellect tends to hold on to past stages and have grievances or judgments or disappointment or expectation, but if you take the intellect seriously, you are forgetting that the purpose of love, of Life, of existence, is to experience it. Not to weigh it, not to judge it, not to hold on to it. So these people, these stages in your life, served a function, as you served a function with them.
That is another thing about Life: it doesn't waste any energy. If two people need an experience, one will not have it alone. The two will have it. For instance, you may have a seeming enemy. You think you need to love your enemy. On the other side, the person you perceive as your enemy, may be working on the same thing: "I need to love my enemy. I don't want to love my enemy; I don't like him, but I should love my enemy." That person may choose not to love the enemy, and what happens? The next stage is set. There will be another opportunity to love your enemy.
Life constantly rolls out the opportunities. At some point you finally get it: "Oh, that's what Life has been telling me." Then you move on to the next stage. Life is a course of stages. All the people play parts in your life. The best, the fastest, the most efficient way is to just bless everything in your life. Of course, if you have become love, that is already done.
I see my past as such a great gift. I have learned everything I need to know about love. Everything. Everything I need to know, I have learned through my experiences. No one taught me. No one came to me and said, "Well Ishvara, this is the way it is. There is this thing we call 'universal love.' This is cosmic law." That didn't happen. I took each step, each moment, each existence, each time, looking at it, analyzing, often wondering what I did wrong, wondering, "Why me?"
Through it all there is a voice, the voice that is Life. That voice is always there, but you usually don't hear it. You don't listen to a voice like that. If you need to be right, you don't hear it. If you need to be wrong, you are not going to listen to it. Yet somewhere, I heard: "It is all love."
You are to become love. The greatest principle of the universe, the cosmos, is love. The greatest principle is the most misunderstood. But you have power, because of love. You have a way to see, to know, to understand and connect, to embrace a bigger picture. You KNOW something can be different, and it will become different. If, after that, you are led to do something, then you do it, but the knowing is what is important.
Allow that the truth has set you free in this moment, that you can become love, that you can embrace Life in its fullness, transcending a separate self, in the wholeness of Life, of existence. Allow for the possibility.
